Berenjenas Equivocadas:
This simple dish of lightly fried aubergines and cubes of majorero cheese drizzled with honey is the perfect midday lunch or starter.
Papa Arrugadas:
These waxy small potatoes are boiled in salt water that give them their signature wrinkled skin, which is never peeled. Enjoy with the local tradition of either a red or green spicy mojo sauce.
Limpets:
These black and orange native shellfish known locally as lapas, are prepared on a griddle and served with white wine and olive oil. Although they are technically an aquatic snail, limpets taste like mussels and are a very popular starter in Fuerteventura.
Bus:
Local company Tiadhe has 18 lines that connects most points on the island and is very popular with locals and tourists alike.
Rent a Car:
Driving on the island is relatively stress free thanks to its well-maintained road networks with long straights and high visibility. It’s also the best way to visit those lesser-known places for a customised experience.
Taxis:
The best option after enjoying a night out in Corralejo, taxis are plentiful and relatively cheap. You can flag down one or book it through a taxi app.
