Perama

Just 10 minutes drive south of Corfu Town, the resort of Perama is relaxing, quiet and a perfect stress buster. Curving gently with the coastline, the village has no real centre, but a sprinkling of little gift shops and some nice local tavernas provide the options for nightly wanderings. The neighbouring resort of Benitses, having shed its wild reputation, still offers more variety and has a nice choice of restaurants, cafes and bars.

A lovely stroll along the causeway which straddles the lagoon brings one into Kanoni on the outskirts of Corfu Town. Indulge in some plane spotting here as the airport is quite close and, of course, stunning Mouse Island, provides the most wonderful photo opportunities. Holidays to Corfu are never complete without a pose at the little Monastery here.

Greek holidays in Perama are ideal for swimming and snorkelling as the waters are as clear as a bell and brimming with marine life.
