The island's 3rd largest town and with a year round population, there is a sense of "real" Spain here, not much evident in other tourist areas. Santa Eulalia holidays can be deliciously different.
The main feature of the resort is the wonderful 300 metre long curvy ribbon of silky sand beach, flanked by a stylish promenade interspersed with palms, a fountain and pretty miniature gardens. This is a complete child friendly beach that is safe for swimming, and there are also lots of waterports available. At one end of the "paseo", one arrives at Mariner's Beach where the only river in all the Balearic Islands flows into the sea.
The town lies at the foot of Puig de Missa, a hillock topped off with a 16th century fortified Church, complete with ornate Gothic altar screen. A highly recommended Ibiza holiday family destination, Santa Eulalia is ideal for a return to sanity when the world and its frenetic pace has all but exhausted the spirit. One particular street closes off to traffic each evening and becomes a pedestrianised paradise with marvellous restaurants and open air patios serving delicious regional specialities and spanking fresh seafood. Simpler options abound too with places like "Royalty" and "Cosmi" as famous institutions offering cheaper food, coffees and unparalleled people watching opportunities!
A sophisticated yacht marina has, in latter years, elevated the nightlife scene and now means that party animals are catered to in venues such as "Guarana" music pub. Several art galleries lend a distinct cultural feel to the mix also, making Santa Eulalia popular, trendy, relaxing and ultra attractive. The resort really is a superb family holiday venue, but is appealing also to couples and holidaymakers who enjoy a bit more than just sun, sea and sand. The nearby resort of Santa Eulalia del Rio is also a lovely family venue.
Although Santa Eulalia flights do not exist, frequent direct flights to Ibiza from Ireland offer easy access to all the lovely resorts in Ibiza.
